 Gary Kolstad was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company as of June 1, 2006. He has more than twenty years of experience in the industry and was with Schlumberger, Ltd. (an oilfield service provider), from 1985-2006, serving in numerous domestic and international leadership positions in operations as well as marketing and sales. Mr. Kolstad recently held positions with Schlumberger as Vice President, Oilfield Services – U.S. Onshore, and Vice President, Global Accounts. |

Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

Ernesto Bautista, III was appointed Chief Financial Officer of CARBO Ceramics, Inc. on January 1, 2009. From July 2000 until joining the company, Mr. Bautista served in various positions at W-H Energy Services, Inc. (a Houston-based diversified oilfield services company), most recently as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to July 2000, Mr. Bautista was in the assurance practice of Arthur Andersen LLP specializing in emerging, high growth companies. Mr. Bautista holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from Rice University.

 Mark L. Edmunds has been the Vice President, Operations for CARBO Ceramics since April 2002. From 2000 until joining the company, Mr. Edmunds served as Business Unit Manager and Plant Manager for FMC Corporation. Prior to 2000, Mr. Edmunds served Union Carbide Corporation and the Dow Chemical Corporation in a variety of management positions, including Director of Operations, Director of Internal Consulting and Manufacturing Operations Manager. |

 David G. Gallagher was appointed Vice President, Marketing and Sales on April 16, 2007. He has more than 26 years of experience in the oilfield service industry with Schlumberger, Ltd. Within Schlumberger Oilfield Services business, Mr. Gallagher served as Schlumberger Dowell Director of Product Development for Stimulation and Intervention Technologies, Director of Marketing for Schlumberger land division and most recently served as Director of Marketing for Venezuela, Trinidad and the Caribbean. Mr. Gallagher earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of New Mexico.
