ENGlobal (NASDAQ: ENG), a leading provider of engineering and
related project services, and Greenline Industries, Inc., the world's
largest supplier of small-to-medium scale biodiesel production
equipment, today announced a strategic alliance to pursue opportunities
in the sustainable energy and biodiesel marketplace. This alliance will
offer the alternative energy sector with a single source for delivering
fully operational biodiesel production facilities.
ENGlobal's Construction group expects to provide Greenline with EPC and
asset management resources for Greenline's "waterless" modular biodiesel
process. Greenline's process and modular design eliminates wastewater
streams and volatile organic emissions, resulting in significant cost
savings and shorter lead time to production when compared to traditional
water/solvent based systems.
In addition to process technology and project delivery, the alliance is
expected to offer a wide range of consulting services, including site
selection, permitting assistance, business case consulting, and
long-term operations and maintenance of facilities. Greenline currently
has an installed base of 33 biodiesel processing lines located in four
countries, with an annual production capacity in excess of 250 million
gallons.
"Our partnership with Greenline, developed by our Construction group,
greatly enhances our position in this fast-growing, global marketplace,"
said William A. Coskey, P.E., Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of
ENGlobal. "Our two companies can now offer 'end-to-end' biodiesel
execution services, starting from project inception
(design/build/commission), to continuing operations and maintenance
services."
Donn Tice, Greenline's Chief Executive Officer, added, "We are excited
about this strategic alliance with ENGlobal, which provides us with a
strong and uniquely capable partner in several markets of interest. As
an example, both companies are uniquely positioned to pursue the
co-location of biodiesel production with existing refineries enabling
both logistical and economic advantages in production and distribution."
