Tandy Leather Factory Opens Retail Stores in Ventura, CA and Halifax, Nova Scotia |
FORT WORTH, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 27, 2007--Tandy Leather Factory, Inc. (AMEX: TLF) announced today that it is opening Tandy Leather retail stores in Ventura, CA and Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. These are the fourth and fifth stores of twelve planned store openings for 2007 and bring the number of Tandy Leather retail stores to 67. The Ventura store is located at 1924 East Main Street. The Halifax store is located at 75 Akerley Blvd, Unit M in Dartmouth. Both stores will be open for business next week.
Chief Executive Officer and President, Ron Morgan, commented, "The Ventura store is our seventh Tandy Leather store in California and considering the population in the L.A. basin, this new store should have no problems developing its own customer base. Edie Hanson, a manager trainee in our Fountain Valley (Orange County) store for 2 1/2 years, has been promoted to manager of the Ventura store. We believe there is a good market in far eastern Canada and our new Halifax store establishes a closer local presence. Brian Fehr will be managing the Halifax store. He's been training in our Edmonton store for a year."
