BUTLER, INDIANA — March 6, 1998 — Steel Dynamics, Inc.
(NASDAQ: STLD) today announced that its employees received an average
Profit Sharing Plan contribution per employee of $8,100. Approximately
one-third, or $2,700, was paid in cash with the balance deposited in
each employee’s account with the Profit Sharing Plan trustee.
Keith E. Busse, CEO for Steel Dynamics, remarked, “I am pleased to
announce such a fitting reward for our dedicated employees who made 1997
such a success. While the scrap costs and selling prices held down our
profitability in the second half of the year, we are generally very
pleased with the year’s results.”
Steel Dynamics, Inc. is now providing a broad range of flat-rolled
products to the market, including light gauge micro-alloyed and high
strength steels for demanding automotive applications. |
